Angel Brand & Woh Hup 2019 Chinese New Year Movie Collaboration

For the first time, Angel Brand and Woh Hup have collaborated with a Malaysian-Hong Kong joint-production movie, which will be released during this Chinese New Year 2019. Starring Hong Kong actors Lo Hoi Pang, Joyce Cheng, Alex Lam and Jerry Lamb as well as Malaysian actors “Ah Niu” Tan Kheng Seong and Lin Min Chen, the movie “A Journey of Happiness” tells the story of a Chinese family from Hong Kong going on a holiday in Malaysia. It was scripted by Ryon Lee and directed by JY Teng – both Malaysians. The movie collaboration aims to create excitement and raise awareness of Angel Brand and Woh Hup among consumers.

 

Following the commencement of principal photography in Malaysia back in August 2018, the main cast and crew of the movie appeared in a media conference, which received overwhelming response from Chinese media in the country. The road trip movie will not only showcase popular tourist locations such as Cameron Highlands, Ipoh and Klang Valley but also feature several scenes with Angel Brand and Woh Hup branding – in particular, Angel Brand Light Soy Sauce and Woh Hup Shiitake Mushroom Vegetarian Oyster Flavoured Sauce.

 

A few weeks later, local artiste Ah Niu even paid a courtesy visit to the Bidor Kwong Heng factory in Bidor, where he learnt about the making of our sauces and engaged with staff members. “A Journey of Happiness” will premiere in Malaysia, Hong Kong, and China on 5th February 2019.
